This series of racks contains 5/8" thick scratch-resistant shelves (as do all of our Fixed Shelf Racks) with welded heavy gauge steel tube construction to produce a superbly crafted unit. All metal work is covered in an indestructible textured black, baked powder finish (as are all products). This precision piece of technology is designed to stand the test of time.
