

  Thorens has released a new Acrylic Series, TD 2010 and the TD 2030, to their 
  already extensive line up. This new series is claimed to provide a live, dynamic 
  sound combined with Thorens known reliability and durability. 
A silent-run bearing combined with highly polished stainless steel axle has a bearing point in the form of a ball and runs in two maintenance-free bushes. The AC synchronous motor is isolated from the turntable chassis and is regulated by a separate electronic motor control unit. The acrylic body is mated with a heavy aluminum platter driven by a belt.
